The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has funded a Research Study of PRT for Ithaca, NY. The grant was awarded in 2009 and the study is currently underway.
The proposed 12-Station, 7.7 mi (one-way guideway) Phase 1 System is shown in yellow on the right. The system connects downtown to Cornell University and Ithaca College. Capital cost range: $58M to $116M. A sketch showing a closer in view of the phase 1 alignment can be downloaded here
