Strategic partnerships
ATS has established long term relationships with the following companies, all of whom have been involved in completing the prototype trials site in Cardiff.
ARUP has been involved with the project since it started in 1995 and has made major contributions to infrastructure design, and more recently transport studies.
Corus has been associated with the project since 1996. More recently Corus have expressed the wish to play a far larger role as risk sharing prime contractor.
AMEC has worked with ULTra since 1998.
Altran (a €2B French consulting company) has been associated with ULTra via their UK subsidiary Praxis Critical Systems since 1999. This association was strengthened when ULTra won the Altran Foundation prize which provided the company with €1M of support.
Other Relationships
ATS has excellent relations with other potential large partners.
ATOS - Origin (previously Schlumberger Sema) - have a major ticketing capability. ATS has worked with the company to develop ideas on ticketing Serco Serco is potentially a key operating partner for some applications. Serco have direct experience of operating a fully automated transport system - Docklands Light Railway.
TRW Automotive (previously Lucas) TRW provide a wide range of automotive components which are of value in the vehicle.
